‘Limousine Bull Machine’ - Neil McIntee (February 2007)

The piece ‘Limousine Bull Machine’ explores the space and surrounding area of the gallery sonically and visually. A site specific work is created by Neil McIntee based on the composition of the structure of the exhibition space and its’ inherent sounds. He has dealt with this as a totality by dealing with micro and macro presences, relating to being and non-being, and transforming the space into the work itself. The origin of the work is in the drawing where he interprets and redefines the space creating templates for action, sound and structure. Drawing directly onto the walls of Limousine Bull, and broadcasting the sound compositions into that space, he thus extends his drawing. McIntee develops this environment through the reuse of processes and systems of working, uniting fact, research, intuition and improvisation.
