Membership

Limousine Bull is an artist-directed, non-profit-making organisation based in Aberdeen. Conceived in 1998, the organisation aims to provide a social/professional focus for contemporary artists in North East Scotland in all its diversity.

Objectives

  • Create and motivate an actively participating artists’ membership.
  • Provide a supportive social and professional network for artists in the North East, which encourages verbal and critical debate.
  • Facilitate the organisation of events that experiment with accepted conventions that define contemporary art.
  • Encourage dialogue and collaborations with existing institutions both national and further afield.
  • Facilitate sustainable contexts for artists to live and work in North-East Scotland.

What the membership offers you

Limousine Bull openly encourages new members, new committee members and artists wanting to submit project proposals. A new member benefits from:

  • Opportunities to promote your work on the Limousine Bull website as well as contribute slides of your work to the Limousine Bull collection which will be available to visiting curators and artists.
  • Notice of upcoming events. Members can also utilise the limousine bull mail-out by including flyers/invites to their shows.
  • Invitations/opportunities to exhibit, work on projects and take part in exchanges with other visual arts organisations throughout the UK
  • Members have the use of the gallery office equipment including Apple Mac computer or PC computer, scanner, printer, digital camera, DVD player and TV.
  • Opportunities to propose projects and develop events that benefit the whole membership and wider community.
  • Committee membership is an excellent way in which to bolster your CV and gain invaluable networking opportunities with other artists and arts organisations.
